Anyone in Norcal with a car trailer planning on dropping down to socal?

I want to buy a car in San Fracisco and was wondering if someone up north with a truck and trailer was planning on dropping by to socal anytime soon? If you can bring the FC over to El Monte I want to work out a cash reimbursement.

BTW, I have a truck that I can use to haul the car (tow rating is 3500lbs) but Uhaul said the Tacoma weighs only 2500lbs and the FC is 2800lbs....so they won't rent it out to me???

I hope you're not buying another junk Mr. Jimenez. This is one of those times when I miss my 99 suburban 4x4. Other than that, pack that **** with the gas prices.

I have the 05Toyota Tacoma Doublecab 4X4. I bought it with the factory tow package (class IV). The rating is 6500lbs towing capacity. I towed about 5000lbs, and the truck didn't even notice the weight.

I will be using a 2001 4cyl Tacoma. The tow rating is 3500lbs. I'm going to check out some other Uhaul places.

get a tow dolley instead of a full trailer to save weight. or you will be struggling at grapevine.

PS. I bet if you get down on your knees, the U-Haul guy will let you slide.

Yeah so getting back on topic I was quoted $300 to ship it from San Francisco down to LA. I might end up doing that but does anyone know of any other transport companies that will ship it cheaper?

I make the Norcal to Socal drive all the time, but I sure wouldn't want to try it while towing a car with a 4 cylinder truck .

I remember having to use my friends 4 cylinder Mazda truck to tow by brothers FC home once and by the time we made it to Milpitas from Campbell the clutch and brakes were so gone I was weaving side to side just to slow the truck down.

I'll drive your this FC from San Francisco to El Monte for you. In return, you give me a ride to Santa Monica, and give me $130 for a flight back to frisco. Also, you cover gas for the car.

The car is no piece of junk it just has a blown engine. The aftermarket parts are worth more than the selling price and the car is is good condition. I know because I am the one selling it.
