i dont get why its dangerous to drive with blown shocks, mine where toast and i could drive it predictably.
The only thing i really noticed when i was driving on blown shocks is when i would hit a bump or pot hole the rear end would skirt out a bit, but nothing scarey.
also the rear outer tire would bounce on me in a turn, but its just embarassing not dangerous.
and the supsension would travel too much, kind of like driving a mattress.
other than that i knew i needed shocks, and while i was at it i got a set of RB springs.
a good set of shocks and springs is well worth the money.
i have stock struts and springs off of a 87 t2....you can have them for free if you give me yours........ they are off my parts car....so i need something to put back on there......im in san bernardino.....if your interested...pm me
too bad your in so cal, I just pulled a set of KYB's with Eibach springs at a pick n pull today, then decided i didnt want them an left them there...they wanted 60 bucks for them (all 4 springs and struts)
Not to intrude but KYB GR2 is one of the worst shocks out there. Rebound rate is incredibly slow. Hit a bump and the wheel wants to stay up in the air and not come down in a timely fashion.
= Wheel hop.
Tokico, that's a nice shock.
