Anyone in the El Monte area able to help me catch someone who has ripped me off ?
Hi.
I'm hoping that there's someone here from the El Monte area who may be able to help.
Back in february, I ordered a fluidyne radiator from a company called Speedaction Motorsports, whose address is 11419 Hallwood Drive, El Monte, CA 91732.
They confirmed receiving the payment at the beginning of march, but i've still not received my radiator and have had no contact with them whatsoever since April 1st. Being in the UK, there isn't much I can do other than email them or attempt to phone them, both of which are ignored.
Has anyone here had any dealings with them whatsoever, or if not, would somebody be willing to find out what is happening with my radiator?
Thanks
Dan fearnley

sorry to hear about your misfortune. i have never heard of speedaction motorports so i cant really help you. why didnt you pruchase the radiator from a big name vendor like rx7store.net? they are a lot bigger and are better well known. good luck.
Thanks for your help Enconsiderate. The order number is for an ebay transaction, 7954788651 and their number is (626) 272 3450.
At the time, they were the cheapest to buy from and had very good feedback. Unfortunately, cheapest is not always best.
Their website is www.speedaction.net

hey dan,
i ve been calling all morning... no pick up. the address you gave me is a little far (2 hour drive with no trafic) so maybe somone else on here lives closer.
i will keep trying to call but it looks like no one will pick up. the area code seems to be incositant with the location im calling. are you sure you you did not buy from another distributor that buys from speedaction.net???
when you sent your emails di you send to sales@speedaction.net???

I don't know if this works for international transactions, but I'd contact the Internet Fraud Complaint Center (IFCC - basically the FBI and the National White Collar Crime Center - NW3C) at http://www.ifccfbi.gov/index.asp
You can file a complaint at that URL. Did you save any correspondence that shows what happened? The confirmation of payment? The PayPal receipt? If it's as you've explained, the IFCC will attempt to contact Mr. Huang and explain to him that the Internet isn't a free for all where people can start a business, charge for goods, and then not deliver. Rumor has it they check income tax records to insure that Uncle Sam has been receiving his share of the proceeds. Cause dems dat stands between Sam and his loot gets run ova. Sam's Gangsta!

What method of payment did you use? If Paypal you can file a complaint with them and they can shut down is account untill you get your parts. Only 1st 30 days though. Check if he's still around, other e-bay auctions of his still going. Report to e-bay. You can also call the local police there and make a report. You will have to talk to a special part of the department but I forget what it's called. Also report to the IFCC like Marcus said. give him hell...ckygive him hell
Maybe FD Ricky can get you the number for the local police dept.

Hi all. Thanks for your help
Unfortunately, I had to pay by bankers draft as they wouldn't accept international paypal, so I can't complain to paypal. I've spoken to my bank's customer services and they seemed to be unable to do anything, although I may visit my branch to see if they can do anything that way.
I've already made a complaint with that IFCC, as I found the link on the eBay.com page.
As far as I know, I was buying from a company rather than an individual. What's strange is that they 'seemed' to have relatively good feedback and good shipping times. I'm emailing them every two or three days now and they won't reply to any of my emails. I'm using the sales@speedaction.net email address too.
I think contacting their local police is a good avenue to try, so i'll probably try doing that this evening.
But thanks for everyones help so far, it means a lot to me
Regards

Well theres a turn up for the books! I emailed him to say that I had contacted the Police, and he replied in under two minutes to say it had been shipped, and gave me the reference number for it! We shall just wait and see what happens now.....

.The guy did finally respond yesterday (after three weeks, and with no explanation or reason for the delay). He told me the item had been sent, which would now be the third time and gave me a 'tracking number'. I checked the number with USPS today, and surprise surprise! They aren't able to track it!
