Anybody need their rims fix?
Anybody need their rims fix?
Well I noticed that alot of people were looking for places to get their rims fix here in socal. So I thought I would check out a friends shop. He has been telling me that he has a rim machine and that he can make them shine. Hes the same guy that polished all my stuff under the hood so I know his work is good. So I took just one of my Volk GT-C to check it out and to see what his price. He charged me 40 to do the rim on average no more then 100 if the rim has alot of curbing so that sound ok. but heres a few pic. Oh by the way he showed me pics of some nice stock FD wheels he did while back I'll try to post pictures of those later
this is the rim before polishing you can see the fading and water stains from a pressure washer and small nick in the rim

After I got the rim back

And back together.

It's just too bad he isn't in NorCal. I need a set of rims re-polished. But they are rare enough to where I wouldn't ship them or leave them with anyone that wasn't within an hour drive of my house. I guess I'm just paranoid.
well he has done some shelby cobra rims I know that are very rare and expensive and complete blocks and trannys, But I understand I have a guy that will paint my civic for free but hes about 4 hours away and I cant do it either.
