I would rather spend $200 on something for my car than on an ipod.

i have a video ipod. also hooks directly into my alpine dvd so i can watch the videos or slideshow the pictures on the monitor while i listen to music and also no more CD's to carry around.

since "everyone" owns an ipod its easy to trade music on computers. even tho itunes does not import the music from the ipod, there are free programs and not-so-free programs that allow it.

its a cool little gadget.

I Listen to music, surf the web, and Play Toca Race Driver on my PSP. I will be be getting a Nano just so I can hook it up to my new Nike's while I jog.

the only reason i would get one would be to use it as a hardrive to transfer files from my laptop to school computers which are way faster.

because an ipod can fit in my pocket and my external hardrive wont!

Spend $60 and get a 1gb jump drive. IF thats the only reason you would buy it then why bother, its a lot bigger than a small jump drive. I doubt your school files are big, unless you are working with programs that generate big files, in which that might not work out for you.

I will never buy an IPOD. Don't really know why but it just seems wrong. I have a sony 1 gig that I bought in singapore. It look like a mini ps2 with the lights and everything. Everyone always asks me where I bought it from..........

i think seagate makes "ipod sized" external drives, you could always buy a notebook hard drive and a usb enclosure
