99+ bumper owners

Guys, I know there are a lot of you in Socal who have done the 99+ minor change bumper. I'd like to do this over the summer.

- Is there any welding required for the support bar?

- Can you keep the stock one or do you need to change out the the Japanese one?

Any additional information is appreciated.

As in the big metal bar that saves your car from a wreck or the foam stuff? I haven't taken the front bumper off yet.

I know the RX-7store.net has a complete kit consisting of:

- 99 Front Bumper
- 99 Turn Lamps
- 99 Chin spoiler
- 99 Rebar

he is talking about the rebar. If you purchase the 99 rebar no cutting is neccesary.

Yes, the reinforcement bar "bumper support". On our rx7s they're not made out of metal they're fiberglass. But if you do purshace the 99 rebar there's no to to cut anything.

WTF, we're rollin' around with fg rebars? I guess maybe I should order the whole kit from rx7store and not just a front bumper...

Has anyone had any experience with the Japanese rebar?
