My son and I have been attending this show nearly every year since the its inception, but unfortunately this year my son's unique and creative Civic creation has been banned from showing by event promoters, so my friends and I will not be attending. The show that used to be inclusive and become exclusive. Sad, sad day for JCCS!

^^Amen brotha! You KNOW I'll be THERE!! Hey, you planning to take a year "off" SS anytime soon to give some of us other folks a chance at the SS attendance RECORD

 

I'm still planning on both; will be my 6th trip to JCCS and 8th (I think) to SS.

Both great meets, both totally different from each other.

 

I will be attending and showing my FC. Hopefully I can get it done in time. It will definitely be done for SS.

 

Ohh THAT record... haha the guys even gave me a certificate a year or two ago!

We'll be working hard to make this year even better!

If you folks have suggestions, let's hear them.

NO, #55 won't be here this year, unless we start a kickstarter fund!

I was out of the country and missed the registration for JCCS, but I will stop by and take a look at your wonderful car. Anybody wants to see mine it will be in the parking lot. LOL

I think I'll register for the Santa Monica show. Could be interesting...

Time's getting close; Looks like the weather's gonna be good, too. Cleaning to commence Friday night.

 

What do you need to clean? Your car is PERFECT!

 

It works the other way around, my friend; once you get a car really clean, you spend the rest of your life cleaning the damned thing because even the tiniest amount of dirt stands out.

Washed & dried the car the car last weekend, & hand-waxed it, spent another night wiping down everything in the engine bay (did you know silicone hoses & plug wires collect dust? It sticks!) & re-polishing chrome & aluminum, spent last night vacuuming, will spend tonight coating tires and trim, and shining up interior.

& by the time the car gets to Long Beach, it'll be dirty again.

Next year I'm going to remember to register on time (I already loaded July 1st into Google Calendar) so I can join you there.
