**sacramento drivers** 2005 Maxima undercover cop

Hey sac drivers, the last two days in a row driving home from downtown I've seen a brand new Maxima pulling people over on westbound Hwy 50, around the Watt and Howe exits, 6~8pm. The car's windows are pretty tinted and it has really bright LED flashers by the rear view mirror.

Obviously the state is strapped for cash, as evdenced by the "click it or ticket" campaign which is little more than a lame effort to generate revenue.

Please don't get caught, and if you do, please go to court. Sure the economy could use some help but I'm sure you know how to spend your $300 better than the fools running the state.

i've even seen that guy in knight's landing outside of woodland, he had someone pulled over and the guy didn't even look like he was wearing a uniform.

no way i'd pull over for his punk ***, hell if he tried to get up next to me i'd probably try and lose his punk *** as i would have an excuse as he was in an unmarked car(they technically need a black and white to assist in pulling you over) and i was in fear for my life.

i suggest you dont pull over for an unmarked car either, they aren't supposed to pull you over solo.

I was going to say what Karack already got... never pull over for an unmarked car. ANYONE can run around with some lights... it's not only illegal for the cops to do it, it's dangerous for you to pull over for an unmarked car.

Like Karack said, I wouldn't pull over at all... and I bet my N/A could out run a maxima.

While it is true that you can wait to pull over until you deem safe. Whether that be in a lit, public place or in a safe place off the road. It wouldn't be wise to make a run for it, like you state, and would probably end in you getting charged with evasion and whatever other laws you broke "getting" away.

And where did this "they technically need a black and white to assist in pulling you over" business come from? This might be a good common practice but in reality it is NOT required. An undercover officer can pull anybody over that breaks a law. Most plain-clothes officers have other duties to take care of, but if they are bored or see a big enough violation happening, they have every right to pull you over.

If you are surprised that there is one undercover officer rolling around pulling people over, I don't want to tell you how many more there are that you don't know about.

Illegal?

Your best bet if this situation arises is to pull over in a public place and go from there. I can't even fathom the need to try and run from the unmarked car. If it is somehow a criminal looking to rob you or something, he won't do it with other people around where he could easily be seen. Even at that, most criminals are not going to go to the extreme of pulling this scam just to rob you or steal you car when it's ten times easier to do it other ways.

Actually the new maximas are pretty fast, That VQ engine is no joke. Yea, I've heard about the undercover maxima for the CHP from someone in the academy. If I were a cop I'd take the new maxima over the crown vics any day. And Nick, you can't outrun a radio, so if you don't pull over for the maxima, pretty sure you'll pull over for a crown vic.

ahhhhh, but it does happen my friend.... here in Socal a few years back there was some dumbass pulling over women and trying to rape them( thankfully didn't succeed, tried dragging one into the bushes but she got away). He's in jail now.

But Fu makes some good points run and get arrested. Do something to tell the cop you see them and are attempting to pull over, and no flippin' them off is not a way to communicate this. Best bet, turn on hazards and drive to well lit area. Believe me, few things frustrate cops more than not respecting they're authoratum (sp?). Further precaution, call CHP, PD, SO or whoever is pulling you over and tell them an unmarked police car is pulling you over. Can this be confirmed?

sure running from them isn't a great idea but my main point is no way i am pulling over for an unmarked car, daylight or night.

The resident wanna be genius.

If you are in that situation, I would suggest calling 911 and telling them that you are being asked to pull over by an unmarked cop car.

What's the direct number to call the CHP? I know that 911 would be a last choice.

Maybe you should start posting on the Crown Vic Forum "how to clean human urine and excrement from vinyl" thread - Light weight push bars for ricers - fact of fiction -

Fu's going to/already is (I don't keep track of him that well..) a big bad cop..He doesn't want us getting out of hand. Just by a show of hands...who would pull over for Fu..not me

-Oh and the running thing. If the situation looks right I will Like I was going down a certain highway since my friend wanted to see how hard my car pulls. SO I was going about 120 and passed a side road where a cop pulled out (by the time he did he was 1/2 mile or so behind me with lights on) I saw a side road and hit the brakes. Went through a series of random turns, hid behind a trailer with lights off for 30 min and guess what? No cop...what sounds better in that situation? Getting a ticket for doign 120 (isn't it a huge offense over 100?) or getting away? I vote the later.

You would be correct. ALL 911 calls made from cell phones go directly to CHP. They can direct your call to any other agency's dispatch or know the number to your local agency as well.

It's too funny how every thread that I comment in turns into "I hate Cops, **** them Pigs" thread and some how my voice of reason on NOT to run from the cops is the wrong one. This is where the maturity shows through. Thanks Victor (vchacon) for being the only one that didn't respond like a high school student.

You can research and see that I have given tons and tons of information on how law enforcement works and pointers to get out of a lot of situations. For some reason you kids don't want my help. I'll just let your ignorance run rampant from now on.
