Dave was the most genuinely nice person I have met. He never hesitated to help someone. No matter how trivial or how much it inconvenienced him he was there to assist. Like Case said, he came all the way to Vegas to help. An honestly stand-up guy! Even if a newb had a question and whether said question was stupid or not, he would give them advice. Hell, he never hesitated to help me with a problem.
He was also a forward thinker. Never afraid to push the tuning envelope. He caught flak from others sometimes, but it never stopped him. The last time I was on Team he was discussing forward and rearward porting and whether or not it would make more power. I have to say the knowledge thrown around that discussion was amazing! I never did find out if he tried his idea or not. I have never met anyone so unafraid to try.
This is how I remember Dave: Endlessly helpful, unafraid to try new ideas, and the nicest guy in the world.
Now it's Felix's turn to know what a great guy he is.
Till we meet again Dave!

haha after hearing about dave's taste in women, i always thought he'd go after my ex...
in fact he offered to nail her, i said, "no man, that won't be necessary"

RIP rotary brother. It seems as if you touched many around you. Sorry I never got to meet you.
A profound loss of this community. I shall spend this day with a heavy heart and keep Dave in my thoughts.

ok.. well i talked to tamara on the phone today...... she is doing ok.... she told me she will be going to daves funeral.... i thought that thats a great gesture...... hell, she wont even be discharged from the hospital on saturday, but she said that she can go..... she will be in a wheelchair, so if you see her there, send your best!
i also found out to m disbelief that she is not doing as good as i previously thought..... she has to learn how to walk all over again..... she is wheelchair bound for a while...
we plan on giving tamara the donation check at daves funeral..... right now we are around $300... and we are still taking donations.... she needs help more than ever.. so if anyone is up for donations... please do so! she will be out of work for a while and im sure the money will help her w/ bills

Still in shock. I just read about this and I can't believe Dave is no longer with us. He will be missed.
I still remember him from the heydays over at teamfc3s.org and after meeting him he was super down to earth. He'd always give a thread a bump and was a no-nonsense kind of guy. My respect and condolences to his family.
Dave, convert some angels into rotorheads at that big track up in clouds man!!!

I never come in the west forum, but since I heard this news...I've read every post regarding this unfortunate event.
This hits really hard at home with me, we [GUITARJUKIE28 & dubulup] joined this community about the same time, experienced about the same things, and are about the same age he was like my west coast dubulup...which is derived for "development"

Man this sucks to hear, I never saw him flaming or giving some one a hard time that didn't deserve it.
I read the story and it said he crossed into oncoming traffic, is there any more info on this? Hopefully the lady involved comes out okay.

the money that we all donated to Tamara had been given to Rob, and Rob will give it to her tommorrow.
meaning do not donate to Rotorlution anymore as he has already given the money to Rob. (so we are done with donations for Tamara.)
Does that make more sence?
