Between IB and a three or four moderators who were total turds it chased many away. IB was bad but once they made a couple of those fools mods it became unbearable.

 

little bit of an update for me, bout 8 months ago i woke up in the morning before work and my arm was tingling as it would when you sleep on it funny. it still today hasn't woken back up, spinal stenosis and nerve damage into my right shoulder and arm, resulting in 60% loss of usage of my right arm. the neck injury progressed and now i lost my job, health insurance and have been fighting my personal disability insurance.

im attempting to try and sue my employer for firing me for an injury that resulted while i was working for their company. the lawyers have not been super helpful against either my employer or the disability insurance firm i paid several thousand dollars to over the course of 5 years(lincoln financial).

basically i cant do much anymore but sit at home and do small jobs that don't aggravate my neck. even doing an oil change is about all i can handle for a day, it's pathetic. i only have enough in savings to be out like this for a short bit, so im kinda screwed. i have almost no real hope the lawyers will get this sorted out, even trying to see a neorusurgeon has been like pulling teeth. apparently it can take years to even see a neurosurgeon for this type of injury...

rx7roller was about the biggest turd on this forum, he was kept around because he had some tools to track down folks who were scamming people or doing bad personal business practices. he also tended to use that power to abuse people who he didn't like, because the forum admins couldn't get rid of him as he was deemed the lesser of 2 evils.

he's also the one who turned me into a form of criminal when the admins refused to ban me when i requested it, so i scrambled my own account login and emails so i couldn't come back here. if someone tried to reach me and i attempted to make an alt account this fool would go out of his way to try and treat me like some sort of international villain.

at one point i had about 30k posts, after this clown got involved that number was reset. basically removing a large accomplishment one could achieve on this forum.

who really knows, maybe even some stories float around about me, even though i never once ever tried to take advantage of any person on this forum or in the community EVER. i didn't shut down my account here and move to florida to escape anything, i did it so i could turn my own life into something other than working 16 hours a day 7 days a week for $30k a year, even though i somewhat enjoyed the job i couldn't keep doing that forever. i was the cheapest and most reliable builder, but we all know that when you keep your business on the ground floor, all you're doing is sweeping around the dirt from one spot to another. for me that meant i was never going to have a big fancy shop, a well built website or race cars i built to show on youtube instead of working on customers cars that had been in those other shops for 3 years collecting dust while owners had already paid up front. we've all heard the horror stories from virtually every shop out there and i did my best to try and not follow any of their stereotypes. i was raised to treat people with respect and i always tried to.

i guess i'll know his involvement still in this forum whether this account vanishes as well or not. whether IB likes to admit it or not, he did make a major stain on the community because the harm he did was equally as bad as the good he did. the name on this account wasn't one chosen by me, by the way(and if i remember correctly it was banned too until someone reached out to me). the fact he lied about being a navy seal and was allowed to continue on here divided the community, most didn't care, the rest hated the fact that someone with the power to destroy their presence in the community was given to someone so low as to pretend to be a patriot to this country.

if it hasn't been obvious by my timely responses i learned over the years not to care, i forgot about this forum and the community and moved on with my life. i still wish everyone well, but i focused many of my years more on others than myself and that needed to change.

some would wonder why i would even ask to ban myself and its because i got too arrogant, i caused my own forms of trouble and i began to hate it about myself but i have a very addictive personality and one of those addictions was trying to gain respect on the internet. after i left i realized i had never really gotten any respect because only the closest of my friends ever tried to see how i was doing, when times weren't so great. these days though i stopped caring about most anything, tired of hearing kids cry about how hard life is when they really have no damn clue how hard it really can be, always complaining about work, when here i am complaining about not being able to work.

 

well i, for one, missed seeing you around. i appreciated your contributions. sorry to hear about all the bad things that have happened (and continue to happen) with you. all i can say is don't give up.

 

not really sure what all i could contribute any longer. i've commented on just about every issue that could ever arise with most generations of the cars, particularly the 2nd gens.

and yeah, crap happens but sometimes it feels like i'm paying for something i did. but naw, the truth is people can be pretty horrible and selfish and i'm trying to get lawyers involved to just sort this stuff out, but lawyers don't care about disability cases, or personal lawsuits against individuals. however i'm going to consult a second lawyer about my wrongful termination due to a disability caused by an on the job accident case. i'm tired of seeing people get away with using people and throwing them away like garbage. i am unfortunately bound to my first lawyer in the case against my personal disability insurance, they did not seem concerned about suing my ex employers and allowing me to file a second workers comp case, even though i could get medical help from that without paying out of pocket(technically this is a continuance of the 1st workers comp case i had almost 6 years ago, which has a high likeliness of being denied without a lawyers involvement).
