Gen2n3, roger that, we'll bring it back on track.
I know the poll's already made up but is there anyway to add the option that we keep post limits for creating for sale threads until the limit is hit. I say this as I remember us having a pretty big issue with new member scams a few years ago I believe ALEX RODRIGUEZ and MysterStyx (RIP) covered these concerns back in 2014-2015. Will the new classifieds proposal be able to address these concerns and make them irrelevant or less likely in some way?
As stated above, I feel like this is a place for community learning and sharing. And in that spirit, all the information should be open to new members. However, when it comes to the classifieds, that should be seen as an added benefit for contributing members. Opening it up to anyone who can make an account has the strong possibility of biting us in the end.

jjandros,
You may call me George, if you'd like. The poll is closed for editing. However, your recommendation is noted! I will address the concern about post restrictions in the Rennlist format. This is what I can do so others may chime in...
Other items for consideration:
1. Enable Classified restrictions for members under 10 posts; otherwise, members under 10 posts have full access to other forum areas. +1 vote
Does this help and did I understand you properly?

George,
yes that sounds perfect. I'm looking forward to seeing possible improvements especially in the classifieds area. Thank for your consideration on the matter!

To answer your question of imposing post restrictions on a Rennlist-type of classified section - that answer is yes, restrictions could be placed.
In all fairness, the mod team expressed interest in removing post limits for new members (or members under 10 posts). There are many reasons but chiefly, the likelihood of members being scammed is small (it may happen but the percentage is low) and members are pretty sharp when spotting a deal that is too good to be true. Always remember the golden rule of Caveat Emtpor (Buyer Beware) and that any system can be exploited - the garbage in & garbage out effect. It could happen under any system such as our current classified section or something like the Rennlist model.
It is interesting to hear a few members like yourself who would like to maintain a post restriction.
Here is a question to the forum: Are you for post limits or against post limits? More importantly, why do you take this stance?
As a friendly reminder, below is an additional item to consider for forum changes.

As a new member I understand the need for a 10post/24hr restriction for the classifieds but there really isn't much to post in the new member section.
With that said,

Jangkai,
Thanks for the input, especially from a new member's perspective. The updated tally will be below.
For all other members,
There is roughly 1 week left before the poll to this thread will close. I encourage everyone to cast a vote and/or provide additional input.
Other items for consideration:
1. Enable Classified restrictions for members under 10 posts; otherwise, members under 10 posts have full access to other forum areas. +2 vote

I think removing post restriction overall is a good idea, but then keep the 10post limit to create sale ads and view "Want to buy". Viewing elsewhere should not be restricted.
People who want to scam will not be stopped by the limitation, and potential victims would neither be stoped from falling for it. But some activity should be demanded to open up the marketplace here.
Tho there could maybe be given som guidelines. on top of every page regarding the "Friends and family" option in Paypal. Maybe even add a "fee calculator" for those who are numericaly challenged
I know it is against Paypal terms to ask the buyer to pay fees, but thats what is done on 99% of forums im at. So maybe more people would use the proper and secure payment option if they could easily calculate the total including fee (X/96,5*100) (given 3.5% fee).
There are also other things that can be put in place to make sure the guy have the item (picture with date and name in + item) <--- i use this 100% when in "Want to buy" transactions.

As a relatively new member (joined a while ago, but wasn't active), its quite difficult to hit the 10 post count in the new member section, so definitely in favour of removing restrictions there.
