Exclamation GROUP BUY: RE GT300 Hood for FD (FIBERGLASS)

I have 9 of these hoods in stock, so to give you guys some incentive, I am hosting a GB for these.

GB will run until 6/17
.

This GB is for the RE-A GT300 hood in FIBERGLASS!
(I am out of stock on the Carbon Fiber - but if you want it, I will get it and set up a GB on those)

Normal retail pricing is $299 + $150 for freight shipping ($449 Total); with the RX7 Club discount, the Hood is $419.10 Shipped.

1-3 Hoods: $400 Shipped

4-6 Hoods: $375 Shipped

7-9 Hoods: $350 Shipped

If you want in on this group buy, you have two options:

1) Send a paypal to info@aerokits.net with a $10 deposit. In the comments feild Put ATTN: RUSS and your phone number!

2) Call in to (443) 303-1622 or (866) 360-5487 x 107 to do your deposit over the phone.

All it takes is $10 to lock in your spot. On July 17th, I will collect money and let you know the total. I will also post up the names on here so you can see the tally for yourself.

Money is not due on the 17th, money is due just to get the part shipped. If you need a week, two weeks, etc. to come up with the rest, thats no problem. Your $10 reserves your spot and locks in your price.

So, lets get this started!!

Exclamation

Woah woah woah, hold on a sec...

Here's the hood on an FD, sitting in our parking lot...right outside my office window:

Seems like the front bumper and hood need to be inched towards each other. You dont have OEM parts up front, so its hard to blame the hood for that, especially when I show you the hood on the silver car fitting 100% perfect...

The headlights may be to blame.. My hoods fit different if I have the C-west headlights on, which is shown in ChaserAero's pic, and my flip ups..

You can never EXPECT aftermarket parts to fit like OEM... I have a hood on my FD right now that fits TOO tightly, I paid 1000 USED for it.. 1 of 2 in the country. Tweak it as best you can. You get what you pay for.

I do have them for the FC's as well:

At this moment I only have Fiberglass in stock. I do have a CF version coming in, but its already spoken for. I'd be happy to have one made for you though.

What's the price for Fiberglass and CF? If I had one made, how long would it take? Would I be able to have it before Sept. 25?

Would it be possible for you to ship a hood to Malta(Europe)? If yes, how much would it cost (including shipping)? Thanks!

I actually got this hood. I got it from Chaser on Ebay, and I think shipping was more than the hood, but total price was low.

I need to do some work with it to make it fit perfect, but there is a reason real RE hoods cost a grand (and some of them aren't even perfect). I think a tip with any part is don't buy aftermarket without knowing that you'll have to at least some glassing.

I was a little bummed though cause my hood shocks are too strong for the fiberglass.

Another thing I was all that pleased with was the rear vent. Which is more or less hidden unless you're looking down the windshield. Mine was cracked, but you can glass it back together. It wasn't super clean looking, so you can sand it to make it look better.

Oh and I live like 20 miles from Edgewood and they wouldn't let me pick the hood up.....
