If anyone wants their coolers quicker my supplier has Mocal 25 row coolers in stock. Mocal coolers are silver instead of black and have the -10 Male fittings already attached.

I talked to setrab today. The deal is, they just ran their stock low on these 25 row cores, and the last shipment from europe came in and was sent out the same day to fill back orders. So everyone is backordered on these cores unfortunately, and the rep at setrab said that they were "caught with their pants down" and they will never run into this problem again (I guess they will be overstocking cores now). So long story short, I hate to tell everyone to wait, but Setrab tells me it will be 3 more weeks before the next shipment arrives from europe, and we are in that shipment. My most sincere apologies on this extended wait. It makes us look bad, but it's a supply problem from the top of setrab directly. Sorry guys, we're doing all we can to speed up the process

Damn. That sucks. But when it's out of your control, there's nothing you can really do.

This gives me some time to get ahold of some cash!

Mocal vs. Setrab

Is there any difference, performance wise, in the two oil coolers? Color doesn't matter to me. I assume they install and fit the same way.

We can't guarantee fitment on the Mocal coolers, you may have to notch out the mounting tabs on the coolers a hair to match up to the brackets (not a big deal). I don't have any of the Mocal coolers here to compare the mounting but my supplier tells me they are so similar he considers them to be interchangeable. There is no performance difference as far as cooling goes, but I feel like the Setrab units are built a little better personally.

Dont want to leave you guys hanging... according to setrab we are still about a week and a half out from receiving the cores. Again sorry for the wait, but it's directly Setrab USA's fault We will ship your kits the DAY we receive the cores! -Heath

Got mine installed, They are great!

The oil temp reaches operating temp much faster then the oem units, takes much longer sitting in traffic for temps to go up and the second you start driving the temps drop very fast!

Very pleased. I'm using the 99 spec 25row track kit with the 93 bumper and the oil coolers sit almost directly on the vents! So no need for the ducting.

I had to ditch the brake coolers though! I'm not worried cause I bought the 99 spec kit to be used later with an aftermarket bumper.

The R1 rx7's came with the R1 lip and additional paneling behind it to direct air to the brakes.

I half expected some of to not fit since I'm using the 99 spec kit track kit on a 93.

The 25 row oil coolers interfere with the brake ducts??
I thought it wouldn't interfere? Or is it because of the specific 99spec 25 row kit as opposed to the 93 25 row kit???

The 99 spec track kit actually sits higher than the 93 to clear the 99 brake duct plastic parts (I know what youre talking about now lol). There is some trimming that needs to be done to the plastic. The 93 plastic may be larger or shaped differently though.

Also can you confirm the heat and pressure rating on the nylon lines, my race mechanic seems to think that they dont have a high enough rating for the setup. Also can you price frieght to Bris Australia.

Thanks Justin
The GB is currently closed, but lets talk via PM and see if I can help you out. The line lengths will have to be different for the 20b, and depending on your front cover/accesories setup the mount for the thermostat may have to be different. This also depends on your clearance between the front cover and the radiator (or whatever else is in front of it) as the thermostat sticks out past the motor. Shoot me a PM, and we can discuss it. There are LOTS of variables involved... not as simple as making a 20b "kit" as each setup is different Before we get into quoting prices I need to see some pics and a description of your setup. Lets take it to PM and see if we can get you moving.

Read the instructions first

The only instructions in my kit are for the thermostat installation. Should I have something else in with it?
