We are moving to a vacuum formed process, resulting in a thinner lighter and stronger parts. Unfortunately this will come with a slight price increase from $265 per set to $285 per set shipped.
The shape will not change, and I will of course keep the same quality you have all come to expect.
I still have a few sets of the mold produced covers, and they are available at the original price of $265 shipped, but once they are gone, they are gone.
It is a more expensive cloth to buy. The volume of orders is much much lower than the standard twill carbon weave, so I end up with Kevlar parts sitting, and the capital tied up in those parts.
It’s for these same reasons I haven’t offered more patterns: until now!
Getting ready to make 1x1 carbon (that a lot of people have been asking for) and hopefully Honeycomb carbon. The 1x1 will be priced at $285 along side the 2x2 twill using the new vacuum formed and 2 part epoxy process. The honeycomb will cost a bit more and be a special order item similar to the Kevlar, for the same reasons. I’ll have to see what the demand for it is, but I would like them to come in at $305, shipping and PayPal fees included of course.
I am also able to make them out of any cloth you would like, price depends on the cloth etc. Colored carbon, dogbone kevlar etc are all possible, but please expect a longer lead time, and the price hike will have to be significant if it is a single part order because I won’t be able to take advantage of bulk materials orders. The custom dog bone Kevlar set was $80 above the normal Kevlar price, but talk to me I love being a part of your projects.
But seriously, every time I see "FD wheel covers in carbon" it makes me think you made aero wheel covers. Please make these so I can buy them, especially if you're able to measure and improve CdA.
LOL I am getting ready to re-brand. Need to have a name that works for all the parts. But this kinda happened accidentally with the wheel covers, didn't think it would turn into an actual business.
The aero covers are specific to each wheel type, google search and you can find someone who makes them for your wheels. I can't afford a wind tunnel unfortunately.
