Exclamation will it fit???????

Nobody get mad but for $ reasons i need to put a V8 in my 1st gen. I just wondered if it would fit in the car and were i can find engien mounts for it? I have to get back on the track or sale and i love it to much to let it go. I will put a rotory back it when I can afford it but a 525HP rotory isnt cheap and my 350 already has 550HP so you can see my delimma!!!!!

I don't get the logic behind dropping a V8 in a rotary car o.O

Is this a race car or a daily driver?

The thing is, the FB chassis is not meant for that kind of power and most/all of the drivetrain components should be replaced in order to handle the torque. There is also a alternative engine section of the forum, most guys here will basically tell you to buy a domestic and put it in there.

Yes, 350's are a common engine replacement for RX-7's. The engine and transmission combo fits in perfectly. And, Grannys is the link.

It is a racer and the whole body and drive train are both highy upgraded.
I already have a 84 caprice with a 572ci crate motor so the domestic is covered.
