you should listen to PVD.... he sounds like he knows everything.

If you have to ask yourself what double the torque and potentially triple or more horsepower will do for you in a 2800lb car..... then you may need a swift kick in the nuts too . The car will haul ***.

Putting an all iron V8 weighing 600lbs will not perform the same as an all aluminum V8 weighing 450lbs... especially in the handling department.

Remember this conversion needs an overdrive transmission as you'll be turning 4K+ on the highway with 4:10's and normal size tires. Then take into account redoing your fuel/cooling system/custom driveshaft/exhaust. Aside from that it is pretty straight forward.

Not to be an *** on my first post (just think of it as a small correction?), but it's more like Double the HP and triple the torque. And about the cooling and driveshaft, Granny's Deluxe kit comes with an aluminum radiator, and a driveshaft w/ slip yoke. That is what im doing, i have saved an FB from the scrap yard, bought it with no motor or tranny, but great interior and straight body, and im getting grannys kit to put a 302 HO in it with a T5 manul tranny. However if you just get the basic kit + driveshaft it's still only about 4-500 (can't remember off the top of my head), and then maybe work on a cooling source. Just my .02, not trying to rile any feathers yet...

Do It...
