for those who did it, how does it feel?

I have a question for those of you who did the ls1 conversion, with everything aluminum so and so, the weight doesnt really change, but the placement of the waight is somewhat different though. Anyway the question is now that you have done your swap how does it feel? How well does it corner vs before? I hear great power comming out of the corners but they tend to feel a bit nose heavy, whats your opinion?

thanks

Feels just fine. Not enough of a weight increase to notice a huge difference.

I'm calling BS on the nose heavy comment too.

I've autocrossed a twin turboed 13brew powered FD and my LS1 powered FD on the same course under the same conditions, and while the handling isn't exactly the same I wouldn't call it nose heavy either.

My LS1 FD weighed 2710lbs on corner scales with half a tank of gas.

It was 30lbs rear heavy with some tools and a laptop in the back. A 10lb (25lb filled) nitrous bottle in the back was my solution.

If you put those wiper motors back in you'd need a bigger bottle in back.

It's the coolest friggen car I've ever driven. The LS1 makes an assload og power starting instantly at 1000rpm and it makes more power for every RPM it adds.

And.... my LS1 has been running with zero maint for a year and a half. Which is a new world record for an FD.

It's basically a 7/8ths scale Viper in terms of performance but with a better sound.
