Are there any v8 conversion kits out there?

Guys,

Is there a 5.0 conversion available for these cars like there are for the Miata?
Considering buying my buddies car (91 vert/5-spd) but would really like to do something different to it.

Thanks.
Lou.

I have no problems with the rotary. Just trying to look at the options in case I ever <cough, cough> have a problem with it.

Oops. Sorry to the mods.

On second thought, a Turbo conversion would be very nice.

Lou,

Check out the V8RX7 forum:
http://www.torquecentral.com/forumdi...?s=&forumid=11

Ford V8 conversions won't fit under the stock hood. LT1/T56 IMO is the best bang for the buck as far as V8 and manual transmission are concerned.

Buick GN turbo V6 is the best drag setup and bang for the buck. low 10's on a stock engine with mildly ported heads, stock headers, $1K turbo, $300 injectors, $50 chip, $800 intercooler, and good exhaust. Truly amazing setups. But then again... I'm biased towards them.
