T-5 shifter question

When i bought my grannys kit i got a little 3" rectangle piece with four holes in it... I assume this is the shifter piece to run the T-5 shifter out the stock hole? If so how the hell does that thing work?

Nah, i paid $400 for the kit. i am atleast going to get something i paid for.
