swap q's

im currently in the process of putting a 500 caddy in my FB, but i have one question

i dont think the oil pan will clear the crossmember at all, im thinking abuot taking it out all together

how much rigidity does it provide?
should i get one(oilpan or crossmember) made that will fit?
should i use solid engine mounts and have teh block be a part of the subframes structure?

ideas?
