ENGINE IS BUILT AND READY TO DROP IN..... That is, as soon as I get the engine bay 100% ready to take the engine. I want to clean up the engine bay a little, and paint it before I drop in the engine.
Next step... Clean/pressure wash engine bay. tape off parts not wanted to be painted, squirt with paint, and give it a few days to cure properly. By then, I should have the rack figured out (it was power steering, but now it will be manual (I think.) I'm considering installing a small race style PS pump, and running power steering again. I drove 89LT1Vert's car, and I forgot how much manual steering sucked. You really do have to muscle the car around. The little horsepower that I will loose will be worth having P/S.
More later

My wet noodle with be very stiff once my 12 point roll cage gets welded in it. I'm ordering the kit from S&W Race Cars, and will be welding it in very soon after that.

UPDATE... I painted the engine bay a couple of days ago, and both inside doors. I was going to cut them out, but I have decided to sheet metal over them instead. There is no inside door handle on the passenger's side, and the drivers will/should be easy to just cut the hole for the handle/rod.
