sbc anyone?
hey guys i got my hands on a 350 i didn't pay for it yet but i was wondering how hard is it to put one of these guys in? and can i use a t5 tranny on there? i am in the hunt for a motor but i don't have a whole lot to spend including the kit i got about 3000 to play with!

Uhhh.. easy and its been done many times before.
www.grannysspeedshop.com Its bolt in. The only fab work is the driveshaft and the clutch **** if you go w/ a manual, but its not a big deal.

i forgot to tell you that the 350 is one of the older ones from a 87 truck it has no ecu so i was told that it didn't have one in the truck i am not use that no ecu! i am planning on getting the kt from granny but i want to get the motor and trans first will the 350 and the t5 tranny be a good match?

You can just fit the clutch hydraulics to the T-5's slave cyl. lol. You can find more detailed info on torquecentral.
As far as no ecu... lots of people have gone with a carburator. If you relaly want EFI, you can convert to that or start off with a EFI engine in the first place.

i need to get the car going so i am looking to get the engine that is going to just get the car back on the road so if that carbed motor works then i will go with the carbed motor i just found out that it is from a 85 heavy duty that is all the old guy told me does that mean anything?
