Salvage title worth it?

I'm close to buying a 94 rx7 for pretty cheap and wanted to know is it worth it even though it's salvaged. I wanted to put a LS in there but I want it to be covered from thefts or wrecks (full coverage) but I hear full coverage isn't really an option on salvaged cars. Especially on a swapped 94 Rx7. Any thoughts or opinions on this?

I forgot to add this car has full interior, paint, and everything working just missing a motor and tranny.
Waiting on car fax to see what it's salvaged for.

It's under $2k
But my real question is can a salvaged car be fully covered by insurance even with a LS swap?
I don't want to dump a bunch of money into and have someone steal/wreck it then I would be out of luck on the whole covered thing.

You might be best served asking your insurance agent.

Yes and no some insurance companies will insure it but it will only give you half market value for a clean car.. So think that through if its gonna be your race car that you drive the **** out off than you know maybe it's worth it , but as a nice clean car honestly no

Depends. Is this just for you or are you wanting to build to resell? If it's something you plan on keeping then go for it. If it's a potential flip you may have some trouble getting what you want.

Depends on what it was salvaged for and if you plan to keep it. You might run into issues getting what you want for it when it comes to selling it. Now if the chassis is straight and you plan to drive it/dont care how much you will get for it, then it might be worth it.

I bought a 350z back in 08 for 10k and it was a salvage title, the insurance could only do liability. This was with farmers insurance btw. Ended up selling the car and took a 1k loss. Dont dump a bunch of cash in a salvage vehicle especially a swapped rx7.

For $2K I would bought that in a second.

A normal FD roller needing paint is easily $5-7K
