RX7 to Corvette LT1 engine conversion

Has any one in the club ever done this type of conversion with a vert?
Did you have to any reinforcements to the body to handle the added power?
Any advice would help.?
Is there any one in the tristate NJ Pa Del area that has done this to a vert that i can see to know the pitfalls of this change?

well if you dont have the eng yet i would say go with an ls1, they are WAY lighter and you can get more out of them with less money! as for it being a vert, i would say start looking at some sort of roll bar or cage because it will have a lot of chasie flex especially around the corners...300+RWHP and a nimble vert...very fun but potentialy dangerous...im doing an ls with a vert because my wife likes the vert better and i can just cage it so it will work out for my application...ck out the v8 rx7 forum...
