Don't expect 1400hp to last forever running a $100 cast LS crank

 

Is that a vacuum pump mounted on the upper passenger side of the accessory drive? I see the hose running to that housing I assume where the filler cap would normally be, also see a sensor? What's up there? Link to build?

Rules:

 

It is a vacuum pump.... helps keep the rings sealed and blow by to a minimum. In an n/a engine they can be worth 15-25rwhp depending upon power levels.... on a boosted engine they also make more power; however keep all the main seals in place for no leaks due less crankcase pressurization.

GZ Motorsports makes this unit as do others. If you go to norotors.com there are plenty of threads on the car.

I bought mine already swapped back in '06

 

Drove it for a couple of years, then took it all apart and started over. Samburg radiator (V1), coilovers, swaybars, stripped and repainted.

1998 RX7.0 LS7 with TR-6060 523hp at the wheels.

 

Probably the most budget friendly LS/6 speed swap out there. Just need to find the motivation to finish it

I'm actually picking up a hemi for my FC this Sunday, I'm really excited for this 2 hour drive for a really stupid and fun project

 

Just picked up my first V8 powered FD. '93 with an LS3 /T56 magnum. Ive had 2 Fb's, 3 Fc's (one with a sbc) and a rotary FD previously so not new to rx7s by any means. This car runs and drives great but needs work to get it to where I want it to be quality wise. New rims are first on the list!
