pictures of my engine and turbo kit sitting on stand

Some of you sent me pms about pics of my engine and here they are. Probably going back in about 2-3 weeks from now. Gonna install all new valvetrain along with some head porting. I know some of you guys are going to say how small my turbo is. It's just until I can get a 396ci put together with a T88

When your brother, you and I all get our projects finished, we need to meet up at Woodburn dragstrip. That would be very cool. CJ

I think in august a bunch of us are going to rent out woodburn on a monday. I'll see if we have room for you and maybe a guest or two. BTW, have you driven your car since the single?

RPNW tried to rent Woodburn, but they would'nt do it for some reason. You have a inside line?

I've driven it, but only around the block a couple times. Needs the fuel pump installed and to get tuned. It'll be anouther month or so. CJ

Make sure you let me know when you do this. i want to see what my ls1 will do! Anyways, let me know if you need help getting that thing back in there. I'd like to see it, if for no other reason than to take a look at your headers. I'm going to be building myself some longtubes this witner and I want to get a look at what you did for collectors.

Hey Ralph, this is John. James' brother with the silver single turbo FD that had wastegate problems. I told you about the V8 I'm throwing in but I guess now you get to see some pictures. I'll probably have it all done and running in a few months so hopefully I can drop by your place and get some hp runs on your dyno. I'm building up the valvetrain and porting the heads right now

That has to be the lamest argument ever, and it gets tiring hearing it come up time and time again.

He "doesn't know how to work on rotaries" so he's taken it upon himself to convert the car to v8 power and develop and fabricate his own turbo setup.

What world do you live in where someone that can fabricate their own drivetrain components can't handle regular oil, plug, and fluid changes?

I guarantee if I take my FD to sevenstock I'll get more drool marks on my car than you have on your keyboard staring at the pic of my engine

I can just picture you looking down at your keyboard right now

Nah, most people are pretty cool and nonconfrontational in person. It's only once they get behind the anonymity and protection of a computer screen and keyboard that they get all "tough".

In person I've had a few people tell me they like the car, but they'd never do it themselves. I'm fine with that. Most people keep the drama "in their head", and then tell their boys what they "should have said" later.

Exactly my point Andrew. I once had a guy on another forum make fun of my conversion. Found out he worked at Corksport and decided to pay him alittle visit. Now he's somewhat excited about my project

a friend of mine is doing a similar (well i shouldn't say similar) transplant here in NZ, he is using his as a drag/race/burnout /touring car the combination of a light body and an incredible power'd engine. so good on ya thats cool.... the most technical thing i am doing is putting a rota on my beach buggy (which when i finish it won't ever see the beach) so its my street/strip bug.
Top marks! i have always liked the 8's but i think i'll stick to the rota's....

another something I thought you'd all like to see. Thought I'd add anothoer turbo with my existing one and go for my goal from the start instead of working myself up. Twin TO4's at 15-20psi. I think I'd be over 700rwhp what do you think
