Overly light power steering

Hey,

I've done some searching and haven't really come up with too much on this issue, but does any one else think that the power steering after the switch was way too strong? I'm running with out power steering right now but i'm not sure the car is liking it. I'm hearing occasional creaking noises (maybe the rack)that i've never heard before and honestly, although it's great when i'm driving, it's a little too difficult at slow speeds.
Has anyone re-valved a power steering pump for an LS1out of a GTO or custom fitted the Mazda power steering pump?

This is a common issue. Turn One has a solution especially for this (as in, LS1/RX7). Call and talk to them about it.
