Ok guys i think it is time for me to think about V8s

ok guys here is the deal i have had my fc for a while and it is being a pain in the ***. so i was thinking about it no, i am going to go V8 my best friend has a 5.0 motor in his garage that he was going to use to build a cobra kit car. but things happened and he need to sell it. so i am going to get my hands on it. now what i wanted to find out is what do i need over all to get this swap completed? i know i need the mount kit and the drive shaft. now does the wiring harness from the mustang work on the rx7 i mean i can just run the wiring harness and put in right into the stock mustang ecu? please let me know what i need to get this on the road? i am doing searches as we speak and i am reading as much as possible. i want to learn as much as i can before i rip the t2 motor out. the car in question is going to be a 87 t2 so i know i got a strong rear. i found the kit that i need from grannysspeedshop but i want to make sure that is all i need thanks guys! and gals!

the stock rear will do fine unless you push over 300 whp and drop the clutch on slicks..

So, look into getting a T-II rear. thats plenty strong.

Also, www.grannysspeedshop.com has tons of info, as does http://www.torquecentral.com/forumdisplay.php?f=11

welcome to the darkside!
