here it is in the mr2 http://www.racingstrong.com/toystar/index.asp
the northstar is an fwd engine, and it fits in the back of a fiero with few problems...fitting it in an fc should be no problem at all with the right mounts and tranny adapter to use a chevy bellhousing...unless caddy make a rwd car with it....

well the newer CTS and so on are now rwd, except getting ahold of a new engine would be too much plus thier corvette engines, but all you have to do to convert a Northstar to rwd is get a 400R tranny and it will mount without a problem except for one hole which doesnt align by about an inch. and that will only work with fwd northstars the rwd northats are almost totally different
The Northstar V8 is approximately 28" x 26" x 31" (W x H x L). By comparison, an LT1 is about 24.75" x 24" x 27.5", and an LS1 is approximately 26" x 25" x 28".
Bare, the Northstar is about 400 lbs., but with all accessories, it's about 470. The LT1 is about 460 bare and 520 with all accessories, and the LS1 is about 400 bare and about 460 with accessories. By comparison, a 13B-REW with accessories and turbos is about 430 lbs.
The starter is located at the top center of the bellhousing, beneath the intake manifold. The Northstar can be converted to RWD by using a 700R4 transmission from a 60 degree V-6 powered S-10 or Camaro and welding in a special
pocket for the starter.

BTW, the engine is also available in a 3.5L V6 "Shortstar" configuration in the Oldsmobile Intrigue.
Here's a good place to start, for anyone interested...

Yeah i know that sight well, im just wondering if the width of the engine will be enough or not enough to fit in an FC
im sure the northstar would fit in the new scc issue cws put one in a friggin golf! its frontwheel drive though so converting it to rear will have its share of fab work i personally would just do a swap of an newer model caddy like a cts-v er somthing but more power to who ever does it. itll certaintly be diffrent.
i just measured it with a tape measure should fit like a glove, i have about 1" 1/2 on the sides and relocateing the radiator will just be about a couple inches foward and im sure a gutted TII hood will clear it
