Need a suggestion for a throttle cable on my lsx swap

I need a suggestion for a throttle cable on my lsx swap. Until recently ive been using the stock fd cable without any issues. It mates up to the throttle body of my lsx perfectly! ...so when i noticed some strands starting to come apart on the 17 year old cable i decided to order a new one from Mazda so i would not have to stray from what works. Well as good as my intentions where the new cable is slightly different then my original and wont work the same.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

i use a 93 honda civic hatchback Si throttle cable in my car. i made a custom throttle cable bracket, which took about 15 mins. Perfect length and everything, also fits into the FD throttle pedal perfectly, lol. i can take pics.
