No offense but your car was headed in the wrong direction when you decided to drop that 350 in it! lol Have you tried the V8 forums yet?

Word. This isn't going to be the best place for help with your 350. Any other chassis questions we'd be able to help you with, though.

first u need to go back and recheck everything with the ignition. make sure the plug wires r on the right plugs and the dist is in right for the correct timing. did u mess with the timing chain any? sounds like an issue with timing/plugs firing at the wrong time. also make sure there's no vac leaks. what's the condition of the carb u have on it?

thats exactly what it sounds like -firing order for sb chevy is 18436572 clockwise starting with number one on the cap --or your off one tooth on the dist. gear ---honestly sounds like you have 2 or more plug wires on the wrong plug--the firing order is on the intake ---cracked cap will do that as well---sounds like you have a good idea how to trouble shoot if you can build the car its self --you will get it -anything thats modified can be a pain but the small block chevy is hands down the number one engine for hot rods of any make.
