Just got my coilovers, they are FC units. I will be building some custom Lower Control arms soon.

Man, you’ve got a lot of math and engineering going on. Blowing my mind man. I’ll be looking for the next video.

Thanks Andrew

gordie,

my 8.8 is stock width, with my flares I think it will be good. I am not sure how the offset will affect the driveshaft and tunnel clearance though.

NICE work Freeskier. I've been watching your YouTube videos for a while, and have seen some of your posts, but just found this thread and connected the dots. With your new FC struts are you still using 450 Fr / 350 Rr spring rates? I'm gathering parts for a sbc conversion and looking at coilovers now, but mine will be a street car (not drift or race).

I've ridden in an FB with 350/200 springs, which felt pretty nice all around (compared to my stock 100/85 (?) springs), but I'm not sure if 350 will be enough with the weight of the small block.

Thank you! sorry, I need to link this thread from my youtube channel. I am running 8k springs in the front, which are 450 lb/in. I am unsure of what rear springs to run though, the last ones I ran were 250lb/in in the rear. I would think for a street car 350s will be perfect in the front, my car is super harsh, and I also do not run a front swaybar right now for clearance reasons.

if you get an explorer axle housing and shorten one side so both sides are the same you should be close!! Just get two of the short axles. I am going to have to trim my tunnel to get the offset housing to work

mine is a housing from a 2005 f150 , aprox 3 1/4 tubes to match to moser weld on flanges for ford big bearing and c clip delete
earlly measurements has me at 17 3/4 tube length
total width with flanges is aprox 55 7/8
this is all just on paper i really need to remove stock rear end and mock the 8.8 in place to get final measurement
