LS1 Turbo Pics

I am in the process of putting together a LS1 turbo. Fabriaction is not a problem at all, but I need some pics to get some ideas of turbo and Intercooler placement. Plan on making some serious power and having a really fun street car. Power Steering, Air Conditiong, sound system will all be retained.

If anyone has any pics at all it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

My little bro had a site for some company that makes turbo kits for ls1, had some real good pics. I'll see if I can find it when I get home from work.

Good luck keeping the a/c.

search on v8rx7forum.com for some turbo LS1 setups. There are only a handful.

Rear mount is the only way you're keeping A/C and P/S with a turbo and fitting it under the hood. That or massively modifying the entire front structure of the car. Other options will likely result in a massive clusterfuck.

You don't need a turbo to make it a really fun street car. You can put down 450 n/a on a stock block and that'll be plenty if you're just looking for a fast street car. You can run 10's with a little over 400rwhp. If you want to do it then do it, but you cannot keep the a/c unless you give up your hood. You will have to run drag radials all the time though.

I would go n/a and nitrous, but like you said fabrication isn't a problem, you would probably be better off going with a tube frame front chassis. as you can see from that first post with the turbo ls1 set up, space is retarded. but good luck.
