Wow. An FC, and with a 1JZ, no less. Wow.

I'm not sure what your intent was because I don't speak "dumbshit", but next time, start your own thread.

There are no more cradles made by me. Your best option is to join www.v8rx7forum.com and check out Justin Samberg's vendor sub-forum. He's currently developing a "version 2.0" engine cradle based on one of my original cradles, not one of the Dynotested pieces. He also produces a Cobra IRS conversion kit based off my original design, as well as a new PPF-elimination kit for the stock differential. He'll eventually have a full conversion kit front to back, and the quality is much better than anyone else's.

Jim, I'm very impressed by this thread! I had no idea that the LS7 intake would bolt up to the L92 motor. Ive got an 07 escalade pullout with 17K miles on it. I was going to use the L76 or LS3 manifold but it sounds like the LS7 is even better than that. I also plan on using a stock LS7 clutch set, ls2 timing cover and chain, ditching the VVT and getting a custom cam grind. I have been trolling on LS1tech but the information of L92 and rx7 is very limited. I have also searched on V8rx7forum as well. I will be following this thread as well.

oops! I think I read your post incorrectly. It seems the L92/LS3/L76 are the only intake manifolds which will fit. That is until F.A.S.T comes out with one for $5,000.

It won't. The intake ports are significantly different.

The LS3 intake will work with L92 heads, but the LS7 definitely won't.

I ended up getting an LS3 manifold...Plus the stock L92 90mm DBW throttle body and I should be good to go.

Any recent updates Jimlab?

You know in all the years I've read your threads I havn't seen you come up with a picture of your car/or any parts that didnt make it look stunning. Have you thought about a coffeetable book/scrapbook once your RX7 saga has ended?

You will probably have ground clearence issues with that tranny on an FD.

Rumor has it Jim is selling this project and moving on in life... I haven't seen him around any of the message boards that he used to frequent pretty regularly.

It's been a long long long time. I remember this project from when I bought my FD back in 1998. I've put over 90k miles on my FD since then......what's the word Jim ?

Well one thing that i heard is that the new6l80 are smaller than the 4l80 (not the old 4l80 conversion to a 6l80)cause you can do that. the reason i was asking Jim lab what he was ganna use is because hes ganna be going threw clutches like no other.

Definitely on the far back burner. I have no use for the car currently and since no one has the cash for a pristine roller, it'll sit. Some more.

The new plan is to finish it on December 21, 2012.

...Jim's car will be finished the day after the end of the world...

...until then, everyone else; your builds' are inferior. And unless he had something to do with the fabrication of your assembly, the kit you're using is crap, and wrong.

.../lock this thread until doomsday. Progress?

He sold it as a roller quite a while back. You can read about it on norotors. Meferrari bought it and last I checked (it's been a while), it still wasn't done.
