i am noticing in the mock up stages of my swap that the tb seems to be sticking out just enough for it to bump the hood if i had it on. is the motor supposed to sit that high?

 

I've done two LS1FCs with Granny's mounts that are complete currently, both clear the hood.

 

gosh your swap looks pretty! yeah i guess from the photos from your car the tb looks about the same as where mine is. i was just looking at mine from a profile view close to the pass. side front fender and the angle makes it look like it would hit the hood.

 

NyToy / soloracer has an LS1FC with grannys mounts and his clears the hood fine... his is the red car on my homepage in the Z06 FC album.

 

mine(ls1FC w/ grannys kit) clears too, it must be in the back mounting holes in the cradle. just got the hood on a week ago and took it for a short ride....

 

My car has the engine in the front mounting holes (I have OLD Granny's mounts), and it still cleared the hood without my nitrous ring; with the ring it just bumps.

Thanks for the compliments. It's even cleaner now, with the custom coil pack mounting and plug wires; I'll update my site one of these days, been too busy gathering stuff for my 408 build.
