Ford 302 swap questions

I've been searching and am thinking of doing the Ford 5.0 EFi into my 85 RX7 using the granny's kit. I was just looking for some feedback from those who have done it. Are there any things I need to worry about? Do long tubes fit? I'm going to use a HD T5 tranny. I want to build an E Mod autocross car (probably won't be a national champ, but will be a blast trying). I love the rotary, but don't love the cost of parts. Thanks for your help in advance.

Both hands on the Wheel!

Before I did my 302 swap, I discussed tranny choices with my cousin, who had lots of experience with racing and building hot rods. He said "use an automatic, you will need both hands on the wheel!". Well, he was right. I have not done any autocrossing with it, and don't plan to, but I won a lot of trophies autocrossing years ago, and I understand what it is all about. I would certainly consider the automatic if I were you.

Read the summary written by Brad Bergholdt on Grannys web site. He is a professional and definitely knows his stuff.
