Few pictures from my (re)swap progress...

Mostly just pictures on this one. I'm almost done with the polishing of the paint, and I went ahead and dropped the engine back in it today.

some pictures:

:halo:

I also picked up some el-cheap Ebay Coilovers. I'll play with spring rates till I get something I like. My stock springs are crap, so however bad these are, they're better then I have (and they're shiny :yeah: ). Also snagged some DTSS eliminators. I need 'em, so now I have 'em. :yup:

I'll drop the coilovers on this week, whenever I finish assembling my front brakes the rest of the way. I swear this crap never end.

Pretty!

I thought you were going with Teins? What brakes did you go with? Do you like ham?

PS: I see nitrous!

I got outbid on the Tein's, I have rebuilt TII brakes with slotted rotors and Racing Beat braided lines with DOT5 fluid, and I do like ham. Especially heavenly baked ham. Glad I'm not muslim.

As promised, a few more pictures of the intake. Also of note, all of the engine bay wiring except the battery lead to the starter is done. I do have to cut the hole to route the headlight/horn wiring in front of the radiator completely.

All of the relays and wiring will be forward of the front of the engine bay, and I'll have a sheet metal or carbon fiber cover between the bumper and radiator to hide all of the wiring. For now it's all on the floor tucked out of the way.

Driverside wiring (final routing pretty much, and the only visible wires not on the engine).

Fuel line, it's ultralight nomex, fuel rated, yada yada. It's pretty snazzy and I got a good deal complete with the crimped fittings. You can also see my fitting for the custom PCV system.

A better picture of the PCV vent for the drivers side side cover. Just a modified passenger oil cap with an -AN fitting. I need to swap to a 120* fitting, I just tossed that one on for pictures.

-AN fitting on the intake manifold (drilled/tapped into the factory PCV pickup spot).

Custom aluminum catch can for PCV system. It has a petcock on the bottom to drain as necessary. You can also see where I cut the firewall to bring the wiring through, it's the spot where the hole would be for the steering column if it was RHD. There is just a piece of fuel hose used to make a nice smooth lip.

A shot of the whole engine bay, with all of the wiring basically in place. I'll tie up a few things, and probably shorten some parts of the engine harness to hide them more. I figure if I'm going to go, might as well go all out.
