Just to put the doubters in their place. Hinson could definetly get over 1000rwhp witht those turbos. 1200ish rwhp...........i dont know.........may need to upgrade. We will see how twin to4r's(67mm) do. There definetly has to be a TT V8 rx7 showdown in the future. Well see who makes the most power in a "Streetable" setup.

I know people locally with small block turbos over 1000hp. Actually a guy I used to street race with (and beat at the time heh) is putting out over 1500hp on a small block single turbo Mustang, that was back in 2001, I haven't talked to him for awhile so it could be more now. There was never any question of if a small block can. I just said Hinson's setup as it was posted wouldn't. Although it was just test running, his PGD runs suggest he's about 500hp short with a 144mph 1/4. I don't think race gas will give 500hp. With changes he can hit the mark but I'm betting there will be a lot of changes before then.

BTW your sig says you have a 1000+ rwhp FD, is that just wishful thinking or do you have a car actually producing that? I'm guessing it's just wishful thinking. A lot of people talk about 1000+ numbers but a lot of people talk about having a high IQ as well.

Edit: After posting this I went to look up how that guy I used to street race against is doing now. He switched to an 03 Cobra it seems with the first times I found of 7.37 @ 193mph in the 1/4. I have no idea what motor/aspiration he's running anymore though.

O....i thought you were doubting the 61s, my bad The sb's are incredible, the more i learn about them, the more i love them.

As for my car, Its under construction. There are ALOT of custom parts that needed to be made and ordered. It took awile, but the boys started up again a little while ago. They are going through and making calculations for the rear end now: mini tubbed, 4 link, panhard bar, etc. Everything is coming together, its all just 1 off pieces that are taking abit, expected of course. We are hoping to be done in about 2 months.

Your buddy is serious, at least he had enough sense to build a REAL American engine.......

I'll be sinking a fair bit of money in my LS1 Stroker setup, but never considered myself to be a "big player". My car is just my car. Its capabilites are just the out come of what I wanted. I build this for me. Not to look cool in the eyes of other people.
