You pretty much have to find someone that has done it and try to get the info from them. Im going to try it this summer, I just dont know which headers would be a good choice. I know patriot has a header thats in between a full length and a shorty that SHOULD work. Its originally made for the 70-81 camaros but I know some guys that are trying them in 3rd gen camaros. The 3rd gens are way tighter so if they can fit in there, its a good chance they can fit in an rx7(ironicsince the 3rd gen camaro is alot bigger than any rx7). The engine and trranny mounts are the same as a sbc so thats not much of a problem. I dont know the part # off hand for the headers but the price is right. 189.00 I believe.
Once I do the swap Ill post how I did it because Im sure there is more than one peerson here that is curious about doing this swap. Im going to try it with a stock 396 first because Im getting it cheap and then I can work the bugs out before I put the 454 in. Hope this helps.
