Any comments on FD's with V8 conversions?

I have a stock VR FD 93 for more than 2 yrs now and loving it. I'm a rotary engine fanatic but i was recently told about the V8 conversions out there, namely from Hinsonsupercars.com. They basically changed the engine and transmission with Corvette engine, 6 speed tranny. they claim 1/4 of 10 sec's or so. Conversion costs 10k. My questions are the following:

How many FD'S out there with V8 conversion already with good results?

What other companies out there also perform conversions? cost?

Are they more reliable?

thx for the info.

Firebird, camaro(Fbody) LS1 with T56. 10 sec 1/4 mile times are definately not for a stock engine, but speed in the 113 MPH range is for a stock engine. If done properly it is much more reliable and fuel efficient than a 13brew, not to mention the easier around town driving.
