I recently purchased an 1985 GSL pretty much for the purpose of putting a V8 in it.

Ive been looking for a decent write up on the process, but have fallen a bit short.

Im looking to install a carbed 302 with a T5 into my GSL. Im sure out there somewhere is a write up on what all is involved, wiring wise, clutch, shifter ect.

Can someone point me in the right direction, I cant find much info/help on the V8rx7forum regarding the FB.

grannys has instructions for swap, easy install, also has info on pinion swaps for gears.
Wiring would be simple for carb install, I dont think you have to use dog-leg shifter for fb.
Basically, its a bolt in install. You get the install instructions with their kit.

If your fb was fuel injected, you have to use carburated 12a crossmember for the install, or it wont fit

 

hey man.. in NC and doing the same swap... did you get it done? how'd it go? any pointers? whatd u use for fuel pump?
