2001 LS1 T56 for sale

I have a 2001 LS1 with a 6 speed T56 Transmission for sale. It has about 72k miles on it. I bought it about 3 months ago but I have to sell it bacause I need the money to pay for my property tax coming up in November. It comes with a new 160 degrees thermostat, new spec stage 1 clutch with new flywheel, and a modify ecu harness. The block is complete with all accessories. I haven't gotten a chance to install the motor/tranny into the car yet. I will post pictures shortly. Selling the whole thing for $3500. Prefer local pickup but can ship if necessary. I can meet halfway if the buyer is in the Bay Area. It's ready to be install into your RX7...

2k maybe with no tranny. 3500 is right where they normally sell for complete. I know cause I spent a bit more for mine but it was newer with less miles.

by "whole thing" do you mean a roller included? or just the drive train for 3500?

This is out of a Camaro/TransAm? (you didn't specify)

And what did you mean by "modified ECU harness"... modified for what?

I'm lookin for a motor/tranny combo for an FC. I live in TN though =(... how much would something like this cost to ship?

It wouldn't matter - same oil pan, mounting points.

Hey Gotboost,

After having an engine builder look at the pictures you sent he said your core is not an '01 but maybe '98-'00? It has the older intake with the EGR on it. Not the LS6 intake?
I can post the pics here:

Can you please verify the age and mileage of this setup? I'm close so I could pickup but need to know a ballpark $$ on how much I will be investing in the rebuild / performance upgrades.

Thanks Man, Jeff

the harness can be used with either an FC or FD.

Don't know about your area but T-56 transmissions are all over and easy to find. Now looking for a low mileage 01'-02' for the upgrades is a little harder but I would have any trans I bought rebuilt anyway.
