13b NA swap with 355ci chevy
So if you have read my threads, I am in the process of tearing out a 13b non turbo engine and trans from a 1988 FC body RX7.
Well the trans engine have been removed, the trans split from the engine.
And now the engine is being tore down SLOWLY as I have never messed with a rotary engine . I stopped along this site after researching a few RX sites, and this seemed to be most helpful and people logging in daily.
Back to the RX7
The engine bay is cleaned up, looks good, except where some fool spilled some brake fluid and destroyed the paint! . But thats fine too, because I do custom paint and body work. I've done this for about 15. Started out in a dealership! Now I own my own shop, and have 4 full time employees.
The intake is off, as is the starter, power steering pump, a/c unit, a/c condensor, and all related pullies. I started to take the flex plate off and I got a wrecker call . Now I'm in the shop and the car is 40 miles away!.
This is not being done at the shop, nor am I letting my guys know that I am building it. It is going to be the new shop car, for delivering small parts to customers. NOT VERY OFTEN!!!! Usually motorcycle parts!!!
Well I got the kit from Grannys speed shop , and the trans mount fits, and I belive the driveshaft is correct also. But they send me the wrong engine cradle, (ford) I was on the phone with 3 different people before they got it figured out! But the new one is on the way and the old one, is shipped back, no expence to me!!
After this 860.00 purchase I hope there is not much I will need to buy for this. I'm trying to keep costs down to a minimum!!!
After all this is a "2 car garage build" <----- lol
