Sounds doable, not sure about the stock y pipe and mufflers though. I say do it and see what happens.

Did you forget the EBC?

if you want a daily drivable FC just keep the stock suspension, stock Flywheel, full disk clutch with no more than medium-duty p/p. There is nothing about a big turbo/big hp setup that should make it a pain to drive if tuned correctly. btw, this means a proper standalone ECU if making more than 300whp

you can make anything reliable if you have enough money. I intend on daily driving a 500hp half bridge but i am an idiot and enjoy pouring all my money into my car

Rtek has the FCD built in. You're good to go, no need to buy another FCD.

wondering about doing a throttle body mod. just the flapper, not the bac, lim,or anything else. my cars runs much faster when cold and did the research to see exactly what is happening during that warm-up period. after research i want to remove the flapper and i think this will have the affect im looking for.

comments?? any ones personal experience? lessons learned? things to avoid? daily driveability?

I threw in the attachment because it made me happy......

You won't get alot of gains going to an FMIC on a stock turbo.

The reason you should upgrade your radiator with an FMIC is because you will now have a core in the way, taking up some of the airflow that would normally go directly to the radiator.

230Horsepower if not more fer sure. 300 will get you like 2 hours of tuning, if you want the best tuning and your motor to be good running and more fuel effecient, itll runn between 400-550$ taht gives you unlimted time untill its done to the best it can be tuned

i got my injectors tested and remaned at this place called R/C engineering, they do fabulous work and i think its 15 or 20$ a injector which is pretty damn cheap, their just north of long beach, google them. they test em and then print out a sheet showing your before and after results of each injector.

and about the fmic on a stock turbo, how would it not be better for the turbo? if your running no cats its gonna create more boost which will heat the turbo up more. Having a intercooler ontop on the engine is a retarded concept, not to mention before when i had a TMIC my **** was always hot as hell. now that i have a FMIC on my stock turbo running 12psi the intercooler and piping is always cold or warm. which makes mroe sense? go fmic every tuner and person at mazdatrix always rants bout how retarded a TMIC is.

and about a aftermarket radiator. Im running the stock radiator and my **** is always below the middle marker on the temperature scale. Just get the stock radiator remanufactured, thats what i did and its working fantastic, i have basically the same build as you J murda so ask me as many questions as you like.

and BTW im running a 3inch intercooler and the front bumper still fits you just have to cut the bumper up a little. you want any pics let me know, i just fit mine yesterday cause mine was zip tied on before so i decided to get dirty and it looks sick as hell on the stock bumper. the piping pops out of the fog light holes, almost looks stock lol

For his power goals, an upgraded top mount would suffice better than an FMIC.

https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/arc-top-mount-opinions-please-804642/

I never went FMIC for a couple of reasons:

Cooling, and oil temps. Both will become an issue on the track in >90F temps.

I use an ssaautochrome full single 3" exhaust. It was like 250 shipped.
Works great and light weight. It is also really tight to the underbody.

It not a bad choice for exhaust system on a budget. Way better than muffler shop style.

good feedback...

macz, i cant stop thinkin about how good that wheel tire combo looks on your car. what did you do to fit those 17x9's up front? your running 255's right?

i purposely didnt get 17x9 with 255's because I read everywhere they wouldnt fit. I guess they do

Yeah, running 255's

My offset is +24. I did my research before getting the wheels, Josh18_2k has the same specs, and BLUE TII is running the same size tires, but with a slightly different offset wheel.

I just finished my custom TB mod yesterday..It was hands down the best mod i've done to my car so far!!! i have no idea why people say its no good without a standalone. however i only removed the plates and NOTHING else. idles perfect, more hp and definitely way more torque and throttle response. if you haven't done it yet, do it!!!

macz.. do your fronts stick out at all?

They don't really stick out, and they barely tuck in corners
