whats the fastest turbo2 with stock turbo have u seen

a friend of mind has a turbo2 with a stock turbo and ran a 13.1 @106mph. with a 2.1 60ft. here are his mods

halteck f9 (very old stuff) using the stock computer for timing
straight 3'' exhaust
stock primaries and 680cc secondary injectors
front mount Greddy intercooler
streetported turbo2 center plate, and believe it or not, 6port side plates
no boost controller, he ported the waist gate and the turbo wont go pass 12psi
and the car is still rich. afr are in the 9s. hes scared to lean it out
forgot what kinda clutch he using, but thats upgraded as well

i was there and i saw it for myself and drove in the car plenty of times. the car is so responsive and still has fair top end.

has anyone seen one faster or close to this?

12.8 @ 108 IIRC, on one of my large streetport 3mm seal s4 turbo engines. No emissions, stock turbo and IC, full exhaust and intake, FCD, fuelpump, forget what boost he was running but somewhere in the 12-15psi range IIRC. The setup didn't last long before he broke the rear iron dowel land in 3 spots launching at the track. Obviously he didn't really have supporting fuel/computer mods necessary for the power, but it did hold up for 3 or 4k hard miles.

well my friend has been beating the hell out the car, and no problem so far, at one point he was driving it to work everyday because his other car broke down. but he stop because it waist too much gas. i dont think it should break because its running so rich, and only boosting 12psi at most. but u never know. also i wish i had a picture of the intake he made from some honda cold air intake pipe. hes sucking air from out side next to his intercooler pipes

he brought the turbo used off of ebay. not really sure. ive heard that the s5 turbo was a little better. can u tell the difference by sight

i brought this thread up because it seems know one on here is running stock turbos and i heard alot of people say that there too restrictive to make any power. and also to bring up the fact that it is a very cheap way to make a good amount of power

also its pretty fun to drive a car this fast on the stock turbo. almost no lag at all

First statement is incorrect, my 7 ran with the stock turbo until this year. I simply wanted more power. Stock turbo is only good for about 250whp. Since the rotary engine has so much potential, Why would you keep it at that power level?

just my .02

my TII's previous owner claimed he ran 12.6 s quarter mile on the stock turbo..

before i upgraded the turbo, i had it dyno'd and it made 249 whp on a dynomite dyno (reads similar to a mustang dyno). 3" exhaust, RA rebuild, 750cc/1000cc injectors, rtek 2.0, fmic, ported intake manifolds, tb mod, and stock turbo with boost dropping to 7 psi near redline

300? nah.. we were running 13.0's w/ 2.3 60ft's with only 240rwhp heavier than stock. there is a certain drifter making very close to 300rwhp on a bone stock turbo.

you would be suprised at what a good engine can do with one of these little snails.

I've never seen actual measurements of the stock turbo, just speculation. And thus it's hard to compare our stock Hitachi turbo to Garrett T series turbos.
