Went back to the track (bolt on T2)

Went back to the track today to see if I could improve my times. My previous best was 13.7 @ 102mph. Well today was much cooler so I ran much better. Worst run of the day was a 14.0 @ 102mph with a 2.5 60' lol. I pulled back into the pits and checked tire pressures...holy crap 35psi in the rears! Dropped it down to 25psi and went at it again. 13.7 @ 104mph with a 2.4 60' lol. Alrighty now where are in business! Pulled back into the pits and dropped the pressures even more because I was still wheel hopping like a **** (17psi). Staged up and hit my best(haha) 60' of the day at 2.25 wheel hopping again i might add. BANG 13.40 @ 106.5mph. I made a few more runs in between but I dont want to bore you with those lol.

Pretty damn good for my mods

Lots of weight reduction
3" intake
CS Turboback exahust
Rtek 1.7 chip
Walbro 255 pump
greddy 720cc 2ndarys
magnecore plug wires and 9eq's all around.
full suspension/brakes/etc.
Stock reman motor
Stock turbo (10spi)
Stock intercooler
Stock clutch

With drag radials I think i may be close to the elusive 12 second pass on the stock turbo!!!

WOW my mods are close to those no weight reduction and stock wires, but my engine is ported and I got a S5 turbo with ported wastegate.
I would be really happy if I can run that time!!!!
good runs

Hmmm...no fuel computer?
I dunno how optimized that RTEK 1.7 ECU is, but stock would run rich in the middle RPM ranges...

i agree

if you had at least an safc or something then you would be running down to the low 13s and maybe break 12s...I drove a car the other day same mods stock turbo..it ran a 12.9 with a 2.1 60ft time....but he had a safc...so I suggest you give it a go..

Yeah Im running really rich I pulled on my friend in his supercharged cobalt and he said when I shifted I shot flames. Im considering a SAFC but Im waiting to see if a 60-1 I got from a junkyard off a desal engine is any good and I may go with that and a microtech eventually

The plan for now is to hold out until RTEK 2.0 comes out. Then get a hybrid turbo some larger injectors, and a wideband, and see how far rtek can take me for tuning.
