i want to run in the 12's with my fc and i was wondering what i would need for my setup. Its a turbo II motor and suspension swap in a base rx7 and i plan to use a stock s5 turbo (14-15psi), fmic, rtek 2.1, and supporting fuel mods. Would this be possible?

 

Did you swap the rear diff also? Swap in a lsd, full 3 inch+ exhaust, make sure your ignition is in good shape. I haven't seen to many cars in the 12's on the stock turbo. If you had an upgraded turbo like a BNR hybrid it shouldn't be a problem.

 

i have a full turbo II parts car which has the diff and everything which is going in my car. It also has a racing beat turbo back and coilovers........cant beat that car for $700

 

A high 12.xxx is possible with the stock turbo...but possibly some wastegate porting to help the boost control.

I would list:
Fuel Pump
Bigger Injectors
Freeflow Exhaust
Freeflow Intake
FMIC
Boost Controller
Some kind of Fuel Controller (even though I personally didn't use one for a 12.9)

Other things that wouldn't hurt:
Clutch and Flywheel
Good Tires
Aftermarket Radiator
Some weight reduction

 

I know high 12's are possible.

will need slicks or something close.
