Sunday @ St. Thomas

Took my S5 FC TII to the track yesterday and made 3 passes.

My best 1/4 mile time was 14.143 @ 100.69mph
1/8 mile time was 9.311 @ 81.05mph
60ft time was 2.323

Mods:

3" DP, 3" MP, 2.5" Y-pipe, HKS intake, Aeromotive Fuel Pressure Regulator, Racing Beat FCD, Racing Beat Dual Belt Alt. Pulley, HKS EVC IV Boost Controller set @ 0.65 Bar, Airpump, ABS, ACV Removed. Everything else is stock.

I was really hopeing for a 13.9 or something, but I'm being told that if I run a better tire, that 13s should be within reach. What do you guys think? Please take into consideration that this is my first time @ the track ever.

try a few more runs. with some more practice you could probably hit 13s with what you have now

81mph in the 1/8th is good for a 13.8 or so in the 1/4. i trapped 81mph in the 1/8th and ran an 8.90. i have yet to run the 1/4 mile on my new setup though.

does your boost bleed off?

I'll be honest with you, I'm not sure if the boost was bleeding off or not. I was too busy making sure I didn't miss a gear. As to the question of how I launch, I was just reving it up and trying not to spin too much. What ended up happening was I would lighten up on the throttle so the tires would catch, but when that happened the car would bogg slightly. I think that is why my 60ft is so crappy.

What rpm should I be launching at roughly? I spent so much time checking to see what my tach was at while I was getting ready to launch, that I would almost miss the light.
