S5 Turbo J-Spec GXL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey guys I have an 88 GXL with a S5 Jspec engine swap. The engine has great compression and 37,000 miles on it. My mods are
Manual Boost Controller (running at 11-13psi)
750cc Secondary Injectors
All Emissions removed and blocked w/ blockoff plates
Wastegate Fully Ported /w new flapper
Full 3 1/8in Turbo Back Exhaust
Tuning with S-AFC
I am ready to get the car back and get it on the dyno but what numbers do u guys with similar setup put down on the dyno and the 1/4 mile. I have been told to expect low to mid 13's in the 1/4 and puttin down 230-245rwhp. Which is about 265hp at the flywheel. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Mike

Yeah I have a Cosmo 20B Fuel pump...but yeah I am anxious to see what kind of power I will be making. If you make it to the dyno before me definitely let me know your numbers....and how the car pulls...LOL

Yeah I could see 230rwhp, but I have seen T2's with less mods run mid 13's with good driving. I think mybe if I kept my 60' time a 2.0 or better then I would be low 13's. Off of this setup right now I would like to be running 13.3-13.5. Anyone got some timeslips of their runs w/ mods similar to mine?

i ran a 13.38@ 102.65 mph
mods are in the sig.
that was around noon.....i had ran earlier in the morning and ran 13.4@85mph....(missed 4th)
that was a result of the cooler temp in the morning. as the day went on the temps went up...and i gave up.......sutpid stock intercooler. your set-up will be nice and snappy.....one piece of advice....proper tuning and a fmic will be key power makers and the key to being a reliable powerful car.

That setup sounds pretty MEAN....LOL. Nah with some good tuning you should make some good power...make sure you let me know how the 12's feel...LOL. I want to get a ride in a Stock T2 before I get my car back so I can just see how fast a stock one is. I hear just bone stock S5 T2's are pretty fast STOCK.

Yeah those times sound about right....I will do runs with and without drag slicks...to see the difference in times. I cn drive very well and launching wont be a problem...(since thats half the battle anyway....LOL) But yeah with the slicks and a 2.0 60' low 13's is ATTAINABLE. Anybody else think something different.

i got 2.0 60 ft on regular street tires with no wieght reduction AT ALL.
with slicks and some weight reduction you should get better then a 2.0 60ft.
its all in the launch.....low are attanible...it may take a few trys

I would like to do a little weight reduction but I dont know what to remove from my car. I have nothing at all in the back, the spare tire has been removed, I have 2 lightweight racing seats (stock ones were to heavy), but my full interior is from a S5 Turbo II car. What would low 13's in the 1/4 be in the 1/8 mile....? would it be like low 8's or something?

for starters on weight reduction a/c system (the whole damn thing), the factory steel hood, (if you don't have an aftermarket fiberglass or the aluminum turbo hood) lightwieght racing wheels (i recommend OZ racing) upgrade to standard rackand pinion and ditch your p/s pump that otta get ya started.
just a comment, dont take this to heart, why is everyone so concerned with weight issues, i mean as far a power to weight ratio is concerned, you are only going to get the car so light, once you have removed the biggest non essentials you will only be taking off ounces at a time and unless you a strictly drag racing the is essentially less benefit in removing **** than there is in simply increasing horespower

I say w/ good driving low to mid 13's. Those are the numbers I am shooting for as well. But I definitely know for a fact you should be in the 13's. If you are horrible you may get a low 14 but u shouldnt.
