my friend just got his rx7 series 4 with a TII motor tuned (running 5 psi) and it just made 105 kw after about 6 or 7 dyno runs?

car has only 3inch exhaust from turbo
aftermarket ECU

can someone please help or explain why

What were the AFR's like on the dyno? Its tough to try to pinpoint the problem when no information was given. 105kw is about 140hp. What kind of ECU? What does he have for fuel modifications if any? Sounds like hes running overally rich.

 

A/F ratios i dont know....the car has a EMS installed..not sure if it was running rich didnt look like it was, no fuel mods just standard fuel pump....future mods he plans is FMIC and a better manifold(screamer pipes) he plans to push 180-190 hp at the wheels on max 7psi

do you think this is possible??

i think some do...

 

Some Jspec turbo II's came with auto trannies. They dont lower the horsepower, it just doesnt get delivered to the ground as well.

and the 1st gear ratio is signifigantly lower, cause slower acceleration, and with 4 gears your in Overdrive much sooner.....its made for people who just want to from point A to point B, not people who want to go from point A to B as fast as possible
